Doctor Verification Process

Every doctor on Afyti is a real, licensed physician authorized to practice medicine in Palestine. There are no AI doctors, no automated consultations, and no chatbots. This page explains how we verify each doctor before they consult with patients.
Step 1 — Application by email
A doctor applies to join Afyti by contacting our team via the official Afyti email address. We reply with a structured application form that collects:
  • Full legal name as it appears on the medical license
  • National ID or passport number
  • Speciality and years of practice
  • City and clinic of practice in Palestine
  • Contact phone number and professional email
Step 2 — Document upload
Once the application is received, the doctor is invited to create an account in the Afyti Doctor app and upload the following documents:
  • Medical license issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
  • Government-issued ID or passport — to confirm the name on the medical license matches the applicant.
  • Professional signature — used to sign electronic prescriptions issued through the platform.
  • Optional: clinic affiliation, specialty board certification, diplomas.
All documents are stored encrypted at rest in our secure object storage (AWS S3, server-side encrypted, access-restricted).
Step 3 — Legal review
Every application is reviewed by Afyti's legal counsel. The review confirms:
  • The medical license is genuine and currently valid (cross-checked against the issuing authority's records where publicly verifiable).
  • The doctor's name, license number, and ID match consistently across all uploaded documents.
  • The doctor is in good standing — not suspended, revoked, or under disciplinary action.
  • The specialty claimed in the application matches the specialty on the license.
Applications with missing, expired, or inconsistent documents are rejected and the applicant is notified by email with the reason.
Step 4 — Super-admin approval
Once the legal review is complete, Afyti's platform administrator approves the doctor in the Afyti SuperAdmin dashboard. Only at this point does the doctor's account move from Pending to Verified, and the doctor becomes visible to patients in the app. The platform automatically records the verification timestamp and the admin who approved it for audit purposes.
Step 5 — Ongoing monitoring
Verification is not a one-time event. Afyti:
  • Tracks every consultation in an audit log for medical-compliance purposes.
  • Reviews patient ratings and complaints; doctors with repeated serious complaints are suspended and re-reviewed.
  • Re-verifies medical licenses periodically and on any expiry date recorded during the original review.
  • Suspends accounts immediately if a license is found to be expired, revoked, or otherwise invalidated.
What this means for patients
When you book a consultation on Afyti, you are talking to a real human doctor who has been individually vetted by our team and our legal counsel, and approved by the platform administrator. No consultation on Afyti is automated, AI-generated, or template-driven.
